People of EBH

Below are the People that help make EBH what it is:
Janine Ewan - Hospice Manager
Janine Ewan - Hospice Manager
Janine came to EBH 6 years ago to establish our Day Programme. Her many years experience in Palliative Care at St Joseph's Mercy Hospice (now Mercy Hospice Akld) provided a solid base from which to identify our patients' and families' needs. There has been enormous growth in all areas of EBH over this period of time with not just the buildings and staff doubling in size but many new therapies and services that Janine has been instrumental in introducing which benefit the patients enormously.
Sherril Ewing - Administration
Sherril Ewing - Administration
Sherril is our administration and support person. She has been with EBH the longest of any staff member, first involved when there was just an office in the Seventh Day Adventist hospital from which a nurse operated. Her knowlege of our history and community is very valuable to us along with her integrity and compassion.
Maria Routledge - Fundraising Manager
Maria Routledge - Fundraising Manager
Maria joined us in 2005 and has been instrumental in maintaining and growing our applications to Trusts and formalising our Fundraising Events. She brings a huge amount of enthusiasm and energy to this position,  having to compete for the charitable dollar, whilst never forgetting the human face of why she is here.
Sue Taylor - Finance Manager
Sue Taylor - Finance Manager
Sue joined EBH in 2005 after returning from overseas where she had a very successful business. Apart from accounting, she brings many skills to the hospice. Her professionalism and business initiatives are very valued along with her warmth and friendly manner.

Following his experience on the EHB Trust board, we now welcome John as Chariman of the Board.

He is a great believer in the team concept, and is planning to build a strong and unified team at the EBH Trust Board that will take us forward to meet the challenges which face us in the future.

He sees a time of exponential growth, coupled with interesting and exciting new opportunities.

John is 53 years old, and is a practicing lawyer in a medium-sized partnership, specializing in intellectual property law, a dedicated family man, a keen outdoors person and enjoys all sorts of physical challenges.  He and his wife Alison have been married 30 years and have 3 grown up children.
