Marilyn Nething – Manager of Volunteer Resources
Originally from a nursing background and most recently from a Corporate environment I have spent an interesting and very varied life travelling and working with other cultures, predominantly centered around people, the community, customer service and design.
As the person responsible for recruiting, coordinating and training our ever growing, approx. 400 volunteers, I am excited about the challenges that arise and enjoy working within such a friendly, cooperative and caring environment where staff and volunteers alike share the same goal for the welfare of patients.
Naturally this role requires a great deal of strategic planning and organizational skills and the ability to wear several different hats simultaneously.
I live in Kohimarama, and have three adult children and three young grandchildren who form a very special part of my life.
My hobbies include an interest in Interior Design and Decoration where I continue to enjoy the occasional freelance consultation with clients. I also enjoy the arts, travel and languages as I am fluent in French.
