After training as a primary school teacher at Wellington Teachers College Lynne taught in Wellington and Dunedin for fifteen years. This was followed by three years in Melbourne and Dublin studying psychology, group dynamics, theology and pastoral care.

She completed her psychotherapy training at Auckland University of Technology in 2001, and worked in private practice and Hospice South Auckland for ten years, before taking this position at dove house in August 2010.

She is a registered psychotherapist and a full member of the New Zealand Association of Psychotherapists and receives regular, ongoing supervision for her work.

Lynne has experience helping people who have had difficulty coping with a wide range of issues – depression, anxiety, abuse, relationship issues and life transitions.

Her specialist areas are spirituality and grief and loss and she has over fifteen years experience working with people coping with life threatening/terminal illness in hospital and hospice settings.

Lynne works in a gentle, holistic way with individuals, couples and family groups. She creates a space where those she works with can connect with their own wisdom, and find meaning in, and solutions to, the difficulties they are facing.
