Dealing with breast cancer was an experience I will never forget. Within days of diagnosis I had a full mastectomy, 6 months of chemotherapy, then 5 weeks of radiotherapy.

I wanted to write to thank-you for the support I have received from the Staff and volunteers at Dove House. I am happy for you to share this letter with whom it may concern also. My cancer story began in February this year when I was aged 49 years, after 9 previously clear, yearly mammograms.
It is one year now since my secondary cancer diagnosis and apart from the odd day around chemo treatments I am feeling good and savouring life.
Receiving a cancer sentence is no fun. You are hit with the clinical prognoses of the specialists and out you go into the street, emotions racing and various questions that you should have asked gradually coming to mind.
