What can we offer you?

Eastern Bays Hospice (EBH)

  • is a stand-alone trust
  • is open Monday to Friday excluding public holidays
  • serves our community with a range of therapies, activities and care
  • supports three beds with a palliative care focus in a local private hospital

What's on offer?

We offer a positive and stimulating environment, for patients and families including:

  • Therapies - aromatherapy, massage, reiki, shiatsu, beauty clinic, relaxation, lymphoedema clinic 
  • Day programme with hospitality and meals provided by a team of volunteers
  • Support group
  • An extensive volunteer service providing, for example, transportation to and from appointments, shopping, general outings and time out for caregivers

Weekly Activities

Monday
  • Beauty Clinic : 10.30am-4pm : 1 hour by appointment

Tuesday

  • Aromatherapy Clinic : 10am - 2pm : 1/2 hour - by appointment
  • Orchid Group (Support Group) : From 10.30am : open session
  • Relaxation/Meditation Class : 1-2pm : Open - bring pillow and blanket
Wednesday
  • Day Programme Therapies available : 10am - 2pm : by arrangement
  • Aromatherapy Clinic : 12.30pm - 2pm : 1/2 hour - by appointment
Thursday
  • Day Programme Complimentary Therapies available : 10am - 2pm : by arrangement
  • Aromatherapy Clinic : 12.30pm - 2pm : 1/2 hour - by appointment

Friday

  • Lymphoedema Clinic: by appointment at 9.00am, 10.00am and 11.00am.

How much does it cost?

All services are provided at no cost to the patient.

How do you register to use this community service?

Referrals can be made by any person, with the consent of the patient.

What if 24hr care is required?

  • Eastern Bays Hospice supports three beds with a palliative care focus within our local hospital.
  • Acute 24 hour care is available at Mercy Hospice Auckland.
  • EBH and Mercy Hospice Auckland work together to ensure our mutual patients and families are supported.
